Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who attended the first Weymouth Leviathan festival in March 2016. Our events were buzzing, with great feedback from attendees and positive encouragement to run the festival again next year. We are so glad you all enjoyed it and more news on our plans at the end of this post.

First, we’d like to say some heartfelt thank yous.

Without our sponsors’ belief in our ability to deliver a new festival with a then pioneering theme, the festival could not have happened. We thank them wholeheartedly for matching their belief with the contribution of vital seed funding.

There’s no show without stars. We’d like to offer our very humble thanks to all of the speakers who were willing to contribute their time to the festival. Some travelled a very great distance, even flying in from abroad, to support the festival. Near or far, thank you for your willingness to participate and share knowledge in your subject area.

To the staff of all our venues, your patience with us as we changed and changed again the shape of the festival over the months preceding it, as well as your encouragement on the day, was vital.

To our small army of helpers, thank you all. You’ve made your town very proud.

  1. James and Leviathan Committee –
Hear it was a success all round – and that our venue/The Fisherman’s Daughter was a great favourite! Thanks for the opportunity and hope we were a good team member; our Corex Poster Boards, and consequently yours looked GREAT!
